The PAC of the Montana Medical Association, MTMedPAC, recently announced their support of Mike in the upcoming Primary.
“Senator Wheat has consistently maintained open lines of communication with MMA leadership and was particularly helpful to Montana physicians in his leadership role as Senate Judiciary Chair. Senator Wheat was instrumental in passage of medical liability reform legislation in the 2005 session. Subsequently Montana physicians have seen stabilization of medical liability rates.” ...another example of Mike's ability to work with people to find solutions to problems in our communities.Mike Wheat for AG Video

Carpenter’s Union Local No. 557 Endorses Wheat!
04/25/08
Carpenter’s Union (PNWRCC) Local No. 557, voted to endorse Attorney General Candidate Mike Wheat. The Carpenters supported Wheat in his successful bid for State Senate and are again backing him for the next attorney general saying that they were, “completely satisfied,” with him as a State Senator. “We are assured that with his personal ethics and strong leadership abilities, the people of Montana will have the best of the best for Attorney General” said Mary Alice McMurray, the Union’s recording secretary.
Former Senator Wheat’s campaign message is one of experience and electability. He promises to protect our communities, kids, and seniors. Wheat, a Montana native, practiced law in a firm he started in Bozeman for 27 years. Prior to coming to Bozeman, Wheat was a combat marine, a union carpenter, and a criminal prosecutor in Butte. Mike Wheat has raised 3 boys in Bozeman, where he resides with his wife Debby, a former speech pathologist for the local school district.Mike's Interview on KXLF, Butte

Mike's Travels
03/20/08
From the beauty of many mountain ranges to the breath-taking expanse of the prairies and plains, Mike continues to visit Montanans in their home towns. Over the past few weeks, Mike has traveled from Browning to Billings, Shelby to Pablo, and many points in between. He enjoyed visits with the Tribal Councils in Pablo and Browning [see story].
Mike also attended a dedication ceremony for the new Health-Sciences Facility at MSU-Billings, met with individuals and small groups, and attended a local legal association St. Patrick’s Day celebration. While in Missoula, Mike met with individuals active in conservation groups, participated in a fundraising event sponsored by a diverse group of Missoula supporters, and attended Pat Williams 70th Birthday Celebration. Back in Bozeman, Thirteen Mile Lamb and Wool Company, at the base of the Bridger Mountains, was the site of a fundraiser sponsored by several supporters. Butte was the destination for St. Patrick’s Day, where Mike, his family, and staff enjoyed participating in Butte’s legendary parade. It was great to see so many friends, many of whom Mike & Debby have known since they lived and worked in Butte years ago. As we move from winter into spring, Mike will continue to criss-cross the state meeting with Montanans, listening and learning, and sharing his message for strong leadership in the Attorney Generals office.See What Jon Tester Has to Say About Mike Wheat!
